Braves and Lions defeat Trojans

The Parshall Braves used a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Trojans 53-42 in Parshall Tuesday night. Michelle Risen, Cheyenne Pachineau and Kiara Pakineau each scored 13 points for the Braves.

The Braves doubled up the Trojans the first quarter to take a 20-10 lead after one. Cheyenne Packineau scored eight of her 13 points in the quarter.

The second quarter saw each team score 9 points, the Braves lead at the half 29-19.

The Trojans were outscored 17-6 in the third quarter and trailed 46-25 at the end of three.

The Trojans outscored the Braves in the fourth quarter 17-6 but made up enough ground to make the loss just by eleven points: 53-42.

The Trojans saw their record slip to 1win and 2 loses as they were defeated by the Minot Bishop Ryan Lions 93-44 on the Trojans ‘home court Saturday night.

Mariah Sellon and Tasha Williams led the Trojans with 18 and 11 respectively.

Six-foot, two-inch senior forward Gabbie Bohl led the Lions with 28 points. Cheyenne Schmidt and Maddie Wald each added 22 for the Lions.

Mariah Sellon got the Trojans on the score board first with a triple from the right wing but Maddie Wald countered with a deuce a few seconds later.
