Cougars lose two to Washburn Cardinals

The sixth and seventh grade JV basketball TL-MM Cougars girls team came close to a win, holding a 12-9 lead until half time. From there, the Cardinals slowly edged into
a three-point win, 16-19. First quarter showed 6-4 Cougars, but third quarter showed signs of a struggle to stay on top. There were several great tries by both teams, but the
ball rimmed out of total higher scores. Showing great team spirit from both sides of the floor and spectators, the seventh and eighth grade team took on the challenge.
