Cougars sixth at regions

Boys and girls teams finish in the middle at Shiloh meet

Central McLean athletes took home sixth place overall for both the girls and boys teams during last week’s South Central Region meet in Bismarck. Cougar boys placed sixth
at the May 21 meet, located at Shiloh Christian, with a total of 60.5 points. Central McLean bested Standing Rock with 48 points but fell short of fifthplace Kidder County.
The girls team also placed sixth with 41.5 points, just ahead of Medina-Pingree-Buchanan with 36 points and short of Southern McLean with 66. Boys Leading the men’s team was
Tommy Ravnaas, who placed second in the 200-meter and third in the 400-meter. Easton Frey placed third in the 200, with Andrew Eichhorst fifth and Kaden Ballensky 28th.
Morgan Maxwell came in 13th for the 400- meter. Kayne Rhoads took third in the 110-meter hurdles, a personal best. In the 800-meter relay, a team of Max Corcoran, Maxwell,
Cade Kjelstrup and Gavin Haraseth placed third. Reagan Rust took fourth in discus, with Eastyn Rittenbach 17th and Kale Utley 20th.
