Cougars thrash Tigers

By Suzanne Werre, Editor
The Central McLean Cougars gave the Trenton-Williston Trinity a thrashing Friday night as they ran, ran, and ran some more on their way to a 58-0 win.
Whether or not the Cougars have a passing game couldn’t be discerned during the game as they only attempted one pass, opting to stick with what was working – the running game.
Four different Cougars scored using the run as they rushed for 255 yards and eight touchdowns while limiting the Tigers to just 63 rushing yards.
Senior running back Kayden Hornberger led the offensive charge with 103 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Hornberger’s first TD came on the Cougars’ second play from the line of scrimmage on their first possession, and his second score came on the first play of the next possession, putting the Tigers on notice early in the game.
