Coyotes place sixth in Stutsman County Tournament


The Sheridan County girl’s basketball placed sixth in the Stutsman County Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Jamestown. They also received the tournament’s Sportsmanship Trophy, according to McClusky Supt. Lee Kelm.
In the first round, the Coyotes lost to Midkota Mustangs by a score of 45-37. In the first quarter, the Coyotes were ahead 13-10 and were tied at 20 in the second quarter. In the third quarter, the Mustangs were ahead by two points, 32-30, and in the four quarter 45-37

In the consolation game, the Coyotes defeated the LaMoure Lobos 40-30.
In the first two quarters, the Coyotes were ahead by two points 12-10 and 24-22. In the third quarter, the Coyotes were ahead 28-23 and in the fourth quarter, 40-30, to win the game.
