Coyotes take fourth in Districts

The Trojans swept the Sheridan County Coyotes 3-0 in the semi-final game Jacy Hausauer led the Coyotes in kills with seven, digs nine, and aces two. Neilie Dockter dished out six assists. Kimberly Tkach led in blocks with two.
Jordyn Sondrol led the Trojan team in kills with 16. Karley Wahl led in digs with nine and Rachel Hanson was the assist leader with 29. Jenna Bayless lead in aces with eight and blocks with four.
Game one saw the Trojans take a 4-0 lead with Jenna Bayless serving up a pair of aces and Jordyn Sondrol putting down a pair of kills. The Coyotes tied the game at five with a pair of kills from Jacy Hausauer and a block from Karissa Erdman.
An ace by Erdmann put the Coyotes up 9-8 but, seconds later, a kill from Trojans Devon Belisle tied the game at nine.
A long kill shot from the Trojans and a long serve from the Coyotes left the game tied at 10 each. From there the Trojans scored six unanswered points. An in-the-fence call broke the Trojans’ run but Taylor Fylling put down a kill and a Bayless’ ace stated another streak. Bayless ended the game with a block. then a monster kill for a 25-14 win.
The Trojans started strong the second game of the match, taking a 5-0 lead: Bayless started with an ace, and Sondrol got a block and a kill.
The Coyotes got on the board with kills from Tia Harper and Erdmann; Hausauer served up an ace to cut the Trojans’ lead to 7-5.
A back row kill from Belisle, an ace from Hanson, and a block from Sondrol made the score 12-6 Trojans. From there, the Trojans rolled to a 25-15 win with Sondrol picking up four kills; Belisle a pair of kills; and Bayless a block and a pair of kills, the last one on a set from Hanson for the game point.
The Coyotes took a 4-1 lead to start game three with Dockter scoring a pair of aces. The Trojans came back quickly to take a 5-4 lead.
Hanson put down a couple of kills and an ace from Fylling put the Trojans in the lead. With Hanson serving, the Trojans scored nine unanswered points.
