Frey 'em up, serve 'em in a pan

Central McLean’s Easton Frey was a one-man wrecking crew for the Cougars Friday night, scoring five touchdowns in just the first half on the way to a 58-31 victory
over the Berthold/Lewis & Clark Bombers. This is the second time the Cougars played Berthold/ Lewis & Clark after COVID-19 cancellations by both of the teams’ scheduled opponents left them both looking for someone to play for the final game of the season. The Cougars defeated the bombers 42-20 earlier in the season. This time Frey came not
just to win again, but to win big. Frey piled up 235 of the team’s 477 rushing yards in the win, rumbling for 14, 19, 49 and 19-yd scores before punching one more in the
first half on a 70-yd TD pass from Gunner Jacobs. “He ran the ball very well,” said Cougar Co-coach John Jangula. “This is the second time that we played them this season, and we found some things we liked from the first match-up with them and we kind of built off that. “That’s kind of how we put our game plan together, and Easton kind of did the rest,”
Jangula added. Jangula credited the Cougars’ front line for punching some big holes for Frey to run through as well. Once he found the hole, he was gone, reversing directions when he found another opening further downfield.
