Grabbing the football by the Horn-bergers

There’s a good likelihood the Central McLean Cougars will climb in the polls this week. After already having received votes this past week, the Central McLean team continued their assault on Region 3 9-man teams, thumping Surrey by the score of 24-12, upping the Cougars’ record to 3-0 on the season.
Making the polls means nothing to CM Co-coach Grant Singer – but the win does.
“I could care less about the polls,” said Singer. “That’s just based off scores, so it’s tough because you don’t want the kids to get all wrapped up in that all the time. It’s about going out and playing . . . go out and play every game.”
