Highs, lows and broken bones

Submitted by Tana Houser
Carson Houser of McClusky is the 2018 State Champion Jr. Bullrider in the Roughrider Rodeo Association. Carson had a busy rodeo season full of ups and downs.
In June, he qualified for the State High School rodeo finals in Bowman and ended as the 2018 reserve champion bull rider in ND High School rodeo. This earned him a trip to the National High School finals in Rock Springs, Wyo., in July.
Although the finals did not go that well for him, one of the highlights of the busy week there was being involved in the exceptional rodeo. This s a rodeo put on by the contestants for kids with disabilities, Carson and the bull riders from Ohio were in charge of the bullriding.
