TL-M-M Trojans battle Max Cossacks

The Trojans and the Cossacks from Max both won a game on Monday night on the Trojans’ home court.
In the girls’ game, Brooke Goven was the game’s high scorer with 23 points.
The Trojans did quite well against the six and one Cossacks but still trailed 14-7 at the end of the first quarter.
With the Cossacks pressing, the Trojans broke the press a number of times but missed the easy shots.
The second and third quarters the Cossacks’ Cheyenne Jacobson broke loose for 15 of her 19 points.
The Trojans struggled offensively in the third quarter and scored just four points on a bucket and two free throws from Goven. The Cossacks led at the end of three, 41-21.
The fourth quarter saw the Trojans outscore the Cossacks, 14-12, to make the final score 53-35.
The Trojans slip to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in district play. The Cossack go to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in district play.
