TLM-M Trojans earn three wins in a row

The Trojans are currently on a three game winning streak after a 3-0 win at Drake/Anamoose and a 3-1 at Nedrose in Minot. They will have the task of continuing the streak this week as they are up against Bismarck Shiloh Christian Oct. 24 on the Trojans home court. The Skyhawks are tied for second in region play with a 7-1 record.
The last match of the season is at Wilton/Wing Oct. 31. The Miners are 1-7 in region play and the winner  will have a home match for a region play-in match Nov. 2.
Kaley Sease led the Trojans with 19 kills against the Cardinals from Nedrose. Sophie Sparrow had 40 assists and Kassidee Logsdon tallied 38 digs.
The first set against the Cardinals saw the Trojans jump to a 3-0 lead after back-to-back aces from Kaley Sease but the Cardinals made a 3-0 run to take a 6-4 lead after a kill and an ace from Mindee Boyce and a kill from Mikalyn Berglof.
A kill from Brooke Goven tied the set at 10 and a kill from Sease put the Trojans in the lead, 11-10.
The Trojans never trailed after that although the Cardinals stayed within one or two points until an ace from Shauntaye Kopecky put the Trojans up 18-15. Another ace from Miya Smalls extended the Trojans lead to 21-16.
Goven got the kill to end the set at 25-19.
The Trojans led entire second set as they went up 3-1 after a kill from Shelby Faul.
Their largest lead was 19-11 after back-to-back kills from Sease.
