Trojans and Miners tangle

The Wilton/Wing Miners were in town for a District 10 double header game Tuesday night and the double header saw the Trojans winning the girls game 50-34 and the Miners winning the boys game 42-41.

On the girls’ side, the Trojans end the district season with a 6-0 record and received a quarter final round bye in the District 10 tournament. The Miners slipped to 3-3 in district play and 14-5 overall.

The District 10 tournament runs Feb. 11, 12, and 13 at Turtle Lake-Mercer School.

District tournament action starts with Wilton/Wing playing Washburn, followed by Garrison playing Max and the last game of the day, Center/Stanton takes on Underwood.

The Trojans play the winner of the Wilton/Wing and Washburn game the second game on Feb.12.

On the boys’ side both the Trojans and Miners have a 4-2 district record. The Trojans drop to 6-9 overall while the Miners raised their record to 9-6.
