The Washburn Cardinal were in town for a double header Jan.17.
The boys took the court first and won 72-53. The girls were next and on the short end of the score 43-40.
The Trojans put three players in double figures with Kevin Klemisch leading the way with 25, followed by Adam Peltier with 17, and Josh Hanson with 14.
Brett Schreiner led the Card-inals with 25 points.
The game started with the teams trading buckets; at the 5:21 mark a bucket from Brett Schreiner put the Cardinals in the lead, 7-6.
A deuce from Marcus Tomlin-son at the 4:31 started a 12-0 run for the Trojans. Josh Hanson scored a triple and a double; Adam Peltier scored a deuce and a free throw; and Nathan Rauhauser got a bucket in the run.
A couple of late buckets from Schreiner took the first quarter score to 20-13 Trojans.
The teams traded buckets to start the second quarter before the Trojans scored seven unanswered points and got ahead 31-18.
A triple from Hanson and double from Klemisch late in the quarter made the half-time score 42-28 Trojans.
Tomlinson started the third quarter with a triple but that was answered by Grant Tweeten for the Cardinals to make the score 45-30.
