The Turtle Lake- Mercer-McClusky Trojans picked up a pair of wins this past week to even their record at two wins and two losses going into the holiday break.
Grant Singer had a night that all players dream of Tuesday night, Dec. 15, scoring 41 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. He stole the ball nine times and dished out eight assists in a 79-63 win over Beulah.

The Trojans put four players in double figures against the Miners: Ryan Rauhauser scored 11 points; Shane Nelson and Tucker Fylling each scored 10 points to go along with Singers’ 41.
Logan Kessler and Casey Duppung were the leaders for the Miners with 15 and 14 points.
The Trojans got out to a quick 6-0 lead to start the game but a deuce from Kasey Schmidt and a triple from Casey Duppung cut the Trojans’ lead to 6-5.
A couple of 6-0 runs by Ryan Rauhauser and Grant Singer put the Trojans up 24-10 at the first stop. Singer scored 13 points in the first quarter.
The Miners made an 11-2 run to start the second quarter as they shot the long ball for three scores to cut the Trojans’ lead to 26-21. Logan Kessler had two of the triples and added a pair of free throws. Trevor Zacher had the other long ball.
The Miners cut the Trojans’ lead to just one point at the 2:35 mark, 29-28. Fouls on the Trojans put the Miners at the free-throw line where they made five out of the eight.
A triple from Nelson along, with a deuce and a pair of free throws from Singer, put the Trojans up at the half-time break 40-31.
Only twice in the third quarter, did the Miners not answer a Trojans’ score but those two times they scored back-to-back buckets to stay back ten points, 58-48, at the end of the third quarter.
The Trojans scored back-to-back buckets a couple of times in the fourth to keep a 14-18-point lead the rest of the way for their first win of the season, 79-63.
