Trojans beat Miners, Knights and Wildcats

The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans picked up five wins this past week. The girls defeated the Wilton/Wing Miners 65-26 in district action.
The Trojans are four wins and one loss in district play and are in second place.
The girls also defeated the Center/Stanton Wildcats 72-23 to up their season record to 10 wins and five losses.
The girls have a home game with Parshall Feb.8 and they have a road trip to Minot Ryan on Feb. 14.
The boys will get the top seed in the District 10 tournament as they defeated Wilton/Wing Miners 83-48 Tuesday night. Thursday night, the boys defeated Our Redeemers Knight 89-61 and, Saturday afternoon, they defeated Center/Stanton Wildcats 73-38. The three wins puts the Trojans at 15 wins and three losses for the regular season and five wins and zero losses in district play.
The final regular season game for the boys is at Berthold Feb. 6.
Girls
Trojans 65-Miners 26
Haley Zinke was the leading scored for the Trojans with 15 points. Jacy Hausauer scored a double-double, getting 13 points and 14 rebounds. Sabrina Rust also scored in double figures with 13 points.
The leading scorer for the Miners was Jocelyn Bergquist with 10 points.
Jacy Hausauer got the Tro-jans on the score board first with a lay in at the 7:20 mark.
Chloe Bayless grabbed a loose ball and put it in; then she scored on a base line drive to put the Trojans up 6-0.
The Trojans ended the first quarter with a 9-0 run to make the first quarter score 15-4.
