Trojans District 10 Champs

The Turtle Lake- Mercer McClusky Trojans defeated the Wildcats from Center/Stanton, 3-1, in the championship match of the District 10 Tournament Thursday night in Wilton.
The district championship is the first for Coach Kurle and Assistant Coach Lee.
Katelynn Presser and Tatum Fylling were chosen for the 2014 All District 10 Team. Other teammates are Tristen Henke, Madeline Henke, Rachel Vitek and Abby Hintz from Center/Stanton; Erin Dammann and Lindsey Duben from Underwood; Sarah Behles and Taylor Kamp from Garrison/Max; Paige Hausauer from Wilton/Wing; and Carly Freeman from Washburn.
Katelynn Presser, Tatum Fylling and Kylee Reiser were chosen for the 2014 District 10 All-Tournament Team. Teammates are Madeline Henke, Tristen Henke and Abby Hintz from Center/Stanton; Erin Dammann and Madison Hulm from Underwood; Kenady Hanson from Washburn; and McKenzie Thorson from Wilton/Wing.
Lindsey Duben from Underwood was chosen as the 2014 District 10 Senior Athlete of the Year and Janet Erhardt was chosen as the 2014 District 10 Coach of the Year.
The tournament started for the Trojans with a 3-0 win against the Wilton/Wing Miners. Katelynn Presser led the Trojans with 10 kills, 12 digs, and three aces. Tatum Fylling had eight blocks and three kills.
