Bott All District Boehm All Tournament

For the first time in over a decade, the Trojans will not advance to the Region V tournament as the Trojans boys basketball season came to a screeching halt Saturday night when they were defeated by the Center/Stanton Wildcats 53-46 in a region qualifying game.

Kyle Bott was placed on the 2014 All District 10 Team. Other members of the team are Zachary Schell and Caleb Weisgarber-Washburn; Dakota Rand, Levi Hummel and Luke Gehring-Gar-rison; Reid Groninger and Colton Schroeder-Max; Danny Henke and Lane Erhardt- Center/Stanton; Brandon Jenkins and Christian Thompson-Wilton/Wing.

Trevor Boehm was placed on the 2014 District 10 All-Tournament Team. Other team members are Zachary Schell-Washburn; Danny Henke and Lane Erhardt- Center/Stanton; Colton Schroeder-Max; Dakota Rand and Levi Hummel- Garrison; Devin Weltz, Christian Thompson and Brandon Jen-kins - Wilton/Wing.

The Trojans defeated the Wash-burn Cardinals in the first game of the District 10 tournament in Garrison Thursday after noon.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 14-1 lead to start the game. With ground to make up, Hunter Jacobs and Kyle Bott teamed up for back-to-back buckets. Then it was Blake Anderson with a lay-up and Jacobs followed with a triple at the 1:35 mark to cut the Cardinals’ lead to 16-10.

The Cardinals led at the end of one, 18-11.

The Trojans started the second quarter with a 7-0 run. Trevor Boehm got the run started with a bucket and free throw. Anderson got a deuce at the 7:05 mark and a deuce from Bott at the 6:10 mark tied the game at 18.

Zachary Schell put the Card-inals in the lead after a bucket and a free throw at the 5:31 mark.
