The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans placed second in the 2010 Region 5 volleyball tournament.
The Trojans reached the championship game by defeating the Flasher Bulldogs in the semi-final game three games to two. New Salem/Almont defeated Grant County, 3-0, in the other semi-final game.
In the championship game, the New Salem /Almont Hol-steins defeated the Trojans 3-1. Flasher took third place by defeating Grant County 3-1.
Kim Tkach was selected for the 2010 All Region 5 team. Other members of the team are Candy Ankenbauer and Rachelle Clayton-Washburn, Mandie Bauer-Wilton/Wing, Brianna Johnson-Garrison/Max, Kadee Berger-Center/Stanton, Ashley Bentz- Grant County, Emily Wolf and Delayna Bueligen- New Salem/Almont, Lindsey Ruscheinsky, Carly Ruscheinsky and Callee Jo Schmidt- Flasher.
