The boys picked up a pair of wins this past week.  Tuesday night they defeated the Wash-burn Cardinals 74-51 and on Saturday they defeated the Harvey/Wells County Hornets 80-62.
The Trojans’ overall record is 10 wins and three losses and the district record stands at three wins and zero losses.
The girls suffered a 60-30 loss to the Washburn Cardinals on Tuesday night but came back strong Saturday and defeated the Harvey/Wells County Hornets 50-45.
The girls’ overall record goes to six wins and three losses and the district record slipped to two wins and one loss.
Boys
Trojans 74-Cardinals 51
Adam Peltier poured in 38 points to lead the Trojans past the Washburn Cardinals in district action Tuesday night.
Nathan Rauhauser was also in double figures with 10 points.
Kirk Sailer was the leading scorer for the Cardinals with 16 points.
The Trojans took an 8-4 lead after back-to-back triples from Peltier but a 12-3 run for the Cardinals put them back in the lead 16-11 at the 0:23 mark.
A base-line drive and bucket from Rauhauser, as time ran out in the first quarter, put the score at 16-13 Cardinals.
The Cardinal went up 18-11 after a pair of free throws from Kirk Sailer at the 7:36 mark.
A bucket from Rauhauser at the 7:22 mark was answered by Sailer a few seconds later to keep the Cardinals up by five.
A triple from Marcus Tomlin-son made the score 20-18 Cardinals at the 6:54 mark and a bucket from Kevin Klemisch tied the game at 20 at the 6:08 mark.
