Troopers sweep Cougars

The Cougars dropped both ends of a double-header Monday night, hosting Garrison-Max at Turtle Lake. The Troopers held off the Cougars 5-3 in game one, then took game two in an easier fashion by the score of 6-1.

Cougar coach Daren Kurle credited his players for getting out of some tough situations when GM could have scored more.

"We did a nice job of limiting damage," said Kurle. "GM had a few situations where they had runners in scoring position with less than two outs. We were able to not allow many runs to score in those situations.

"We put ourselves in opportunities to win the game, but came up short," Kurle added.
