Parshall athletes crowned state champs
For the second year in a row, Kenny Wells of Parshall has won state titles in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs.
Parshall track teams headed to state meet
Thirteen athletes on the Parshall track and field team have qualified for and will be competing in the state track meet in Bismarck this weekend.

Parshall girls take top spot
Parshall’s Lady Braves blasted through the competition in the Williams County Invitational track meet on Tuesday, finishing with 131 points and outdistancing second-place Stanley by 18 points.
Parshall track teams finish 4th, 10th
Parshall’s track athletes are picking up right where they left off last year. The Parshall boys scored 40 and finished fourth, while the 10th-place girls picked up 26 in the Beulah Miner Classic last week that was held at the Hazen track and field complex.
Parshall boys run away with NWC Title
The indoor season continues to be outstanding for the Parshall track and field team. The Parshall boys were able to take a commanding victory during the North Western Conference Indoor last Thursday without a single first place individual.
Parshall runners put in stellar indoor action
Long-distance runner Kenny Wells picked up where he left off last season. The defending state champion in the mile and two mile chalked up a pair of victories at the North Dakota State University indoor meet in Fargo last Saturday.
Eyes on winter fishing at the Tailrace
The Tailrace below Garrison Dam has been a cure for “fishing fever” all winter long. More recently, the waters of the Tailrace have proven a medicine for open water fishermen stricken with a severe case of “spring fever.”
Moose, elk and bighorn sheep seasons set
North Dakota’s 2011 moose, elk and bighorn sheep proclamation has been finalized and applications are available at the state Game and Fish Department’s website. The deadline for applying is March 30.
