Braves dethrone Royals in four

The Parshall Braves Volleyball team got a home win for their fans, downing the South Prairie Royals three sets to one.
The Braves came out hot in the first set, jumping to a 5-1 lead behind the serve of Harley Clemensen. The Braves were up 8-2 when Tracie Cooper brought the Royals back to a 8-7 score. Wynter Deane served as the Braves answered back with seven unanswered points to build a commanding 15-7 lead. The Braves dominated the rest of the set and Bailey Christianson had a kill to seal the 25-14 score.
The second set was a one or two point game until the Royals’ Savanna Jones served the team to a 15-10 lead. The Brave chipped away at the score and Katherine Fox got a kill to even the score at 16. The set was knotted up at 20-all when the Brave went up 23-20 with the help of an ace by Fox. An exchange of side outs made the score 24-21 with the Braves getting the last possession on a block by Christianson. They took the final point for a 2-0 lead.
