Braves drop close contest to Lakers

In a make-up game from Jan. 9 that was held Saturday, Parshall came out on the short end of the score against the Des Lacs/Burlington Lakers, 51-50.
DLB took a big first-quarter lead of 18-9 behind the scoring of Anthony Rice, but Parhsall’s Jaren Enockson brought the Braves back, but a topsy-turvy second quarter kept the Lakers ahead at halftime, 32-27.
DLB outscored Parshall in the third and even though Parshall had its best quarter in the fourth, outscoring the Lakers 13-8, it was just a point shy and DLB took the win.
Enockson led all scorers with 20 points in the contest and was followed by Myles Chase, who was the only other Braves player in double figures with 10. Greg Oster added 7, Morgan Smith 5, Dakota Deane 4, and Hunter Laframboise and Cody Billadeau each chipped in with a bucket.
Rice, who scored 16, was part of a balanced Laker scoring attack. He was followed by Caleb Kester with 15 and Dillon Wickum with 10. Three other DLB players got into the scoring column.
