Braves drop Eagles netters
By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves volleyball team excelled at home to sweep the New Town Eagles 3-0 to take the season series two matches to none. The Braves won an earlier match in New Town 3-1.
The Eagles had their best chance in the first game. They got good serving and capitalized on some long volleys to hold the lead for most of the set. However, the Braves, who were down 23-21 got some good serves of their own to tie the score at 24 and then take the game 26-24.
The Eagles again took an early lead in the second match 6-2, but the Brave’s height began to make a difference with Cheyenne Packineau making some easy kills at the net. The Braves pulled away in the middle of the game and won going away 25-18. The Braves took control in the third and final game, 25-17.
