Braves end season on high note

By Jerry W. Kram
Beset with low numbers, injuries and eligibility problems, plus starting the season with four games against the top three teams in the district, Parshall Braves Head Football Coach Mark Grueneich knew the 2017 season was going to be a challenge. But he also knew his team would not quit.
So Friday night the Braves put an exclamation point on the season by winning a high scoring matchup with the Tioga Pirates 52-46 to end the season with a three game winning streak.
“For the crowd it had to be a lot of fun,” Grueneich said. “There was a lot of ebb and flow and we managed to hold on for the win – barely. It was fun to watch but it wasn’t fun to coach.”
The Braves got big performances out of junior running back Frederick Fox, sophomore quarterback Eric Wodds and senior wide receiver Talon Two Crow. Fox had four touchdowns, Woods two and Two Crow added another for the Braves.
