Braves grab win from Eagles

In perhaps the most closely contested volleyball match of the season, Parshall pulled out a squeaker over New Town Tuesday night in the Parshall gym.

In the end, the Braves took the win 3-1, but New Town fought hard to stay in each game and Parshall was never able to rest on their laurels.

Parshall took an early lead with two identical 25-23 wins, but the Eagles came storming back in game 3 with a resounding 25-14 win to give them confidence going into the fourth.

And confidence they had as the final stanza was a nail biter with the Braves finally coming out on top of a 27-25 score.

"Well, we pulled off a win," Parshall head coach Lisa McQueen said. "We started off a little slow, but we pulled together as a team and came out on top when the night was over."

McQueen added there were some really good volleys throughout the contest as the scores will attest.

"I thought both teams fought hard throughout the whole night to win," McQueen said.
