Braves heating up hardwood

By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves Girls Basketball team nabbed two district wins and a non conference victory in the second to last week of the regular season to clinch the second seed in the District 15 Tournament that starts Feb. 7. The Braves outlasted the Mandaree Warriors 57-47, blew out the Ray Jays 69-28 and had little trouble with Williston Trinity-Alexander 73-33.
The Braves’ sole District 15 loss was to the undefeated Trenton Tigers this season and their wins over Mandaree and Trinity clinched the second seed for the District 15 Tournament to be held at the 4 Bears Event Center starting Feb. 7. Overall, the Braves are 12-4 with three games to go in the regular season. (The Braves official record is 8-8 because four of their early season victories had to be forfeited for using an ineligible player.)
