Braves netters coming together
By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves volleyball team is showing progress, but they are not quite there yet. They took early leads in all three sets of their match against the Towner-Granville-Upham Titans, but were still swept 3-0.
“The girls are finding their rhythm,” said Braves Head Coach Misti Myhre. “They are coming together slowly.”
The Braves graduated six starters from last year, so the young team is still taking time to gel. However, they couldn’t hold onto leads early in games Thursday. The Titans took the first set fairly easily, 25-13. The Braves bounced back to start the second set with a 7-1 lead. The Titans managed to tie up the score at 20 all, but the Braves were able to get to game point at 24-22. But the Titans served out to take the game 26-24. The Braves started strong again in the third game but the Titans again finished strong to take the game and match 25-18.
