Parshall’s boys and girls cross country teams both ran well during the difficult annual Mandan Kiwanis meet held last Saturday.
The boys finished in 12th place, just 13 points behind host Mandan and the girls ended the race in eighth place behind Watford City.
Individually for the boys, Kenny Wells continues his magic on the trail with a sixth place overall finish. With the exception of New Town’s Justin Many Ribs, the entire field above Wells were all Bismarck High School runners.
The sophomore’s time of 15:47, fell just six seconds shy of Bismarck’s Brandon Barnes, who finished in fourth place. As a matter of fact, only 30 seconds separated Wells from Bismarck senior Christian Brownotter who won the race.
