Braves take season opener

By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves Boys Basketball Team were short handed for their first game of the season, but still managed to top the Garrison Troopers 60-35 on the strength of a 39 point second half.
With about a half dozen players out with eligibility problems or injuries, Head Coach Coby Rabbithead had just seven players for the season opener. Joking that they were “The Magnificent Seven,” she praised their effort for the full game.
“It was definitely a good win,” Rabbithead said. “The boys have been working hard in practice. It was good to see them having some fun out there.”
Rabbithead said some of the players should be ready to play next week, after they have participated in the minimum number of practices required by the High School Activities Association.
