Football finales are high scoring affairs
The Parshall-White Shield Braves and New Town Eagles managed to make a little noise in their football finales this week but came up short against some high powered offenses.
The Parshal-White Shield l Braves took on Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn Saturday and put up 28 points, one of the team’s best offensive showings of the year. WNG is the second place team in Region 3 nine man football. However, the defense couldn’t match the offense and WGU rolled up 40 points in the first quarter and cruised to a 64-28 victory.
Justin Roberts threw, caught and rushed for three of the teams four touchdowns. He caught a 62 yard pass from Monte Goodbird, completed a 29 yard pass to Goodbird and had a 75 yard rush for a touchdown. The other score came on a run by Isaiah Alston.
