Lady Braves at top form entering tournament time

By Logan J. Davis
The Parshall Lady Braves appear to be healthy and in top form in time for the District 15 playoffs. The first round of the tournament begins for Parshall on Thursday evening in the Four Bears Event Center with the Parshall girls facing off with the White Shield Lady Warriors in the third game that will start approximately 7:30 p.m.
The girls ran away with their last home game last Saturday against Stanley on Saturday night knocking off a solid team very handily. The speed of the Lady Braves led to another exciting victory. The Parshall defense constantly harassed the Stanley guards and picked off many of the Blue Jay passes. Since the offense of Parshall feeds a lot off the turnovers they cause, the points piled up in quick spurts for Parshall.
The Lady Braves controlled the tempo throughout the game. Parshall won the contest by the score of 61-37 with Cedar Hall leading the offense again with 18 points. Katherine Fox poured in 16 points in what was also a great defensive game for her. Also in double figures was Shadlynn Severance who played a great game for the last time on that Parshall court. The senior has been a steadying force for the Lady Braves all season and she looks ready for district. She hopes to help her team advance to region and even state in her final year. Sophomore forward Winter Deane had an excellent game in the lane with 9 points and 12 rebounds. Winter Old Rock and Jalen Hall each pitched in 4 for the victory over Stanley.
