Lady Braves continue to roll

By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Braves girls basketball team took back to back wins to stretch their winning streak to seven before a week off leading up to Super Saturday against the New Town Eagles in Parshall on Saturday. The Braves are 10-5 after beating the Mandaree Warriors 74-42 and toppling the Ray Jays 72-57.
“All we were looking for was a district win,” said Head Coach Dusty Olson. “We want to get a little advantage as we fight our way through the district tournament.”
The Braves started the season 1-4, but have been hot ever since. The Warriors came to Parshall and found out just how hot Thursday. The Braves wasted no time setting the tone going on a 12-4 run to start the game. By the end of the first quarter, the lead had expanded to 22-8. The Braves kept the pressure on for most of the game and by the end of the third quarter the Braves were up 67-30. Head Coach Dusty Olson let his bench play for the fourth quarter and they closed out the game and the 32 point win.
