The Parshall Lady Braves had a strong showing to make it to the championship game of the District 15 Girls Basketball Tournament in New Town and will take the districts number 2 seed into regional play this week.
Friday the Lady Braves were in New Town to play in the District 15 Girls Basketball tournament. At the start of the tournament, they were rated 3rd seed behind New Town and Watford City. Their first game was with the Mandaree Lady Warriors.
The Lady Braves started the game slow with several quick turnovers to the Lady warriors but the Lady Braves settled down. They scored and after a few layups, they were ahead. They continued making shots and ended the first quarter ahead. Lady Braves 20 and Lady Warriors 4. The Lady Braves took out their main player with a “box and one” and established a good lead. The half ended with the Lady Braves 43 and lady Warriors 13.
