Lady Eagles beat Parshall to remain undefeated

The Parshall Lady Braves and the New Town Eagles girls team met at Northern Lights in New Town Saturday night. A water main break at the Parshall school made it necessary to play the game in New Town.
Before the game, the Eagles were 13 and 0 and rated fifth in state. The Lady Braves record was 11 and 2. Both teams were 3 and 0 in district play and the winner would be in sole possession of first place in the district.
The Lady Braves had a fast start to the game. The Eagles applied full court pressure and the Lady Braves had trouble with it. Even so, the game was close at the end of the first quarter, Eagles 16 and Lady Braves 10.
In the second quarter, the Eagles made use of rebounds and fast breaks to increase their lead. The Lady Braves weren’t getting back fast enough and the Eagles scored often. Eagles 41 and Lady Braves 24 at the half.
