Next generation Wildcats get started
By Edna Sailor
Summer Engelhard saw a chance to put some action in the lives of Kindergarten through fourth grade children from Lewis and Clark schools in Plaza and Berthold, so she jumped right in and before everyone knew it, more than a hundred children were running up and down the basketball floor learning how to play the game.
Now, Engelhard did not pull this off by herself. She gives credit to the many volunteers who helped pull the innovative short program together.
“So many parents helped out, along with the high school girls and boys basketball teams from both Plaza & Berthold. I would say we had around 40 adult volunteers. It was awesome to see everyone jump in and help out,” Engelhard said.
