The Northwest Conference girls basketball tournament started Monday night in various venues across northwestern North Dakota. The boys tournament will begin Monday.
With a full slate of games this past Monday and Tuesday in the Dynamic 12, teams have moved into the semifinal round that will commence tonight (Friday).
In first-round games, Kenmare played Trinity Christian, Mandaree received a bye, Divide County took on Parshall, Tioga received a bye, Stanley played Trenton, Burke County received a bye, New Town took on Glenburn and Ray got a bye.
In separate games, Burke County played Ray and Mandaree took on Tioga.
The semis will begin tonight in Stanley at 5:45, with the second game being played at approximately 7:15. The championship takes place Saturday night at 6:15 in the Stanley gym.
