Parshall basketball is turning some heads
By Jerry W. Kram
The expectations weren’t high for either of the Parshall Braves basketball teams this year as they came in having graduated some key players. But early in the season both the boys and girls have winning records and are looking to challenge the top teams in District 15.
The Braves Boys Team has been challenged with a thin bench because of eligibility problems that left Head Coach Coby Rabbithead with just seven players early in the season. But that was all she needed because the Braves were able to take down the Washburn Cardinals on the strength of Jaden Christianson’s 31 point performance. Josh Hart tossed in an additional 17 as the Braves triumphed 62-56.
“We went on a 26-6 run there at one point,” Rabbithead said. “They came out in the first half and played the kind of ball we want to do consistently. We don’t have depth in our bench right so we are going to have to adjust to that.”
