Parshall Braves take second in district 15 tournament
Braves, Eagles advance to regional play

The Parshall Braves and New Town Eagles girls basketball teams both secured places in the Region 8 Tournament that will be played in Ray starting on Monday, Feb. 22.
Both teams lost to the Watford City Wolves, who are ranked third in the North Dakota Class B basketball poll. The Braves took second place in the tournament by upsetting second seed Trenton-Trinity Christian in the semifinal round. The Eagles earned a berth by defeating the North Shore-Plaza Wildcats in the regional qualifying game.
The Braves opened the tournament by beating the North Shore-Plaza Wildcats 57-30 in the opening round. The Braves dominated the game at both ends of the court, outscoring the Wildcats 37-14 in the first half. Aulora Severance had 19 points and eight other Braves were in the scoring column.
