Parshall used the one-two punch of Cole Hendrickson and Jaren Enockson to come from behind and knock off the Bottineau Braves in a game played in the Minot Municipal Auditorium Saturday night.
The Parshall Braves fell behind against the solid Bottineau five early but chiseled away at the lead until emerging the winner 50-45 in overtime.
But the game wasn’t without moments in which it looked like Bottineau would pull away for good. The Parshall Braves, however, never gave up even as they were beginning to tire midway through the second half.
Essentially, the game was close throughout the contest and provided a nightcap of a lot of excitement in the dome. Bottineau led at all stops until what would have been the final buzzer when Parshall knotted the score at 43.
Bottineau led at all quarter stops, 16-8, 21-20 and 32-30. In the overtime period, Bottineau could only muster one bucket while Parshall scored 7 points to pull away and get the hard-fought win.
