Parshall wins second gridiron contest
The Parshall Braves football team got a huge monkey off their back Sept. 19 when they soundly defeated the Glenburn Panthers 34-6 in their homecoming contest. It was the second consecutive win for the Braves after pounding the Surrey Mustangs the previous week in Surrey. Cody Billadeau scored twice on runs of 18 yards and 6 yards to give the Braves a comfortable lead. Cole Hendrickson also ran in two major scores from one yard out and 5 yards from the end zone. Jaron Enockson rounded out the scoring, hitting pay dirt from 20 yards out. "This was our best overall effort of the season," said Parshall head coach Mark Grueneich. "Our defense gave up some yardage, but did not give up the big plays that have hurt us in previous games. Our offense moved the ball and limited the time we had to defend Glenburn." Grueneich said it was good to see the balanced scoring on offense among Billadeau, Hendrickson and Enockson.
