Volleyball season winds down

The Parshall Braves will take the number three seed into the District 15 Volleyball Tournament which starts on Monday at the Northern Lights Building in New Town. The New Town Eagles are the fifth seed in the district.

The Braves will face the White Shield Warriors in the second game of the tournament. The Eagles will take on fourth seed Trinity Christian Crusaders in the opening game. The winner of the Eagles-Crusaders matchup will face the top seeded Trenton Tigers on Tuesday and the Watford City Wolves will get the winner of the Braves-Warriors clash. The championship and regional qualifier games will be held Thursday.

Both teams fell in their final tune up matches before the tournament. The Eagles faced the Ray Jays on Monday and fell 25-9, 25-9 and 25-16. Shylene Lyson had seven assists for the Eagles while Nicole Drosdal had 13 digs to lead the team.
