After narrowly missing a state title a year ago, Ken Wells made sure he was going to win this time.
Wells beat his closest competitor, Clyde Baker of New Town, by nearly a minute to claim the 2010 individual Class B State cross country championship.
Wells’ time of 16:30.4 was 58 seconds ahead of Baker, considered an eternity when you consider this 5-K race was a statewide competition.
Parshall head coach Harlan Johnson was not surprised by Wells’ performance on Saturday.
