4-H basketball tournament scheduled for March 28
The 33rd Annual Mountrail County 4-H Basketball Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at the Stanley High School. Basketball action will begin at 8:30 a.m. on March 28 and will continue throughout the day, ending at 6:30 p.m.
One-hundred-fifty youth from Mountrail, Ward, Williams, Divide and Burke counties have combined to form 25 teams in five age divisions. The divisions are: Cloverbuds (boys and girls age 5-8) - 5 teams; Jr. Girls (9-12 year olds) - 8 teams; Jr. Boys (9-12 year olds) - 4 teams; Sr. Girls (13-18 year olds) - 4 teams; and Sr. Boys (13-18 year olds) - 4 teams. Round robin play will determine the champion in all age divisions except for the Junior Girls Division, which will be bracketed. A total of 40 games have been scheduled throughout the day. Half-court basketball will be played in all age divisions.
