Eagles fly high in track meets

The New Town Eagles looked to continue their long run of excellence in the opening track meets of the 2019 season. The boys team racked up victories in the NDSU Indoor Track Meet in Fargo and the Northwest Conference Indoor meet in Minot. The girls team placed eighth in Fargo and was second in Minot.
The Eagles boys’ team came away with a first place team finish, scoring 77 points to finish in first ahead of 32 teams. Kindred was second with 71 points.
The 3200 meter relay team of Addison Red Fox, Brady Bratvold, Ricardo Chase, and Robert White claimed first place. In the 1600 meter race the Eagles placed four runners, Jaiven Hale, second, White, third, Red Fox, fourth, and Chase, fifth. Hale claimed the team’s other first place ribbon in the 3200 meter run, where he was followed by Chase and Red Fox in second and third. Hale and White finished second and third in the 800 meters. The Eagles got third place points scored by the 800 meter relay team of Rodrick McIntosh, Francis Short Bull, Brady Bratvold, and Tristen Williams.
