Eagles nipped by 4th quarter bombs
Eagles nipped by 4th quarter bombs
By Jerry W. Kram
The New Town Eagles looked to be closing in on a homecoming victory when a couple of long passes gave the Garrison-Max Troopers a come-from-behind victory, 19-16.
The Eagles defense had a very good game against the Troopers, holding their leading rusher Levi Hummel to just 24 yards. They also held the Trooper’s passing attack to just three receptions. Unfortunately, those three completions went to Hummel for 121 yards and all three Garrison-Max touchdowns.
