Lions name 2 New Town players to All-Star team
Alex Baker and Mike Youngbird make up two of four area high school boys basketball players named to the 2011 Lions All-Star basketball teams. Clay Nelson of Kenmare and Ben Magnuson of Minot Ryan are the other two from northwestern North Dakota named to this prestigious team.
Baker and Youngbird, both seniors, were a major part of the New Town Eagles run to the state Class B tournament. Both have played together a number of years and in the past two years, have made enormous contributions to high school basketball. Baker has since signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Bismarck State College.
