All negative at TL testing

There was a pretty steady stream of cars starting at 10:30 a.m. at Thursday’s COVID-19 drive-through testing in Turtle Lake, but by noon the stream had lessened to a vehicle driving up every few minutes or so. A total of 68 tests, throat swabs, were given Thursday, and all were negative according to Northland Community Health’s Julie Wagner. The testing was a cooperative effort between Northland, CHI St. Alexius Turtle Lake Hospital, and the North Dakota Department of Health. While they were prepared to do more than 100 tests, Wagner says she wasn’t surprised the number of people coming in for the free drive-up test wasn’t higher. “I think maybe if it had been a month ago it might have been a bigger turnout, but I think people are just kind of over it,” she said. “I didn’t even think it would be that high.”
