Area schools represent at Class B State Cross Country Meet in Jamestown

Runners from Garrison, Max–South Prairie, White Shield, Center-Stanton, Southern McLean, Central McLean and Beulah made their final appearances of the season at the 2025 North Dakota Class B State Cross Country Meet, held Friday, October 24, in Jamestown. 
Facing off against one of the deepest Class B fields in recent years, local athletes posted competitive times and gained valuable experience on a challenging course that featured nearly 400 boys and more than 250 girls.
In the boys’ team standings, Southern McLean (Washburn/Wilton/Wing) recorded the top finish among local programs, placing 11th overall with 404 points. 
Beulah followed close behind in 14th place with 445 points, giving the area two teams in the top 15. 
Max–South Prairie landed in 36th with 1,268 points, while Central McLean placed 42nd with 1,359. 
White Shield came in 44th at 1,381, Center-Stanton took 47th with 1,466, and Garrison claimed 54th with 1,592 points.
Southern McLean freshman Daniel Neumiller led all local runners with a 15th-place finish, crossing the line in 17:22.2. 
Senior Beckett Kadrmas followed in 30th place at 18:23.7, giving the Roughriders two finishers inside the top 30. 
Sophomore Easton Kugler claimed 51st in 18:59.1. 
Additional scoring runners included junior Caiden Cleveland (148th, 20:30.4), seventh-grader Theron Arbach (160th, 20:39.0), and freshman Valerio Hernandez (207th, 21:14.8). 
Senior Jaime Hernandez placed 210th in 21:19.0, freshman Brayden Sharp was 330th in 23:09.2, eighth-grader Kale Nelson finished 333rd in 23:14.2, and eighth-grader Julius Schaan crossed in 335th at 23:18.7.
