Buchmann family called to Underwood

By Michael Johnson, Editor

Making a move is usually a difficult transition no matter how far a distance. The Buchmanns, Jason and Laura and their five kids, Josiah, John, Elijah, Elisha and Esther, found the transition from Beulah to Underwood to be the right move despite the hard work involved in the process. Jason is the new pastor at Underwood First Assembly of God and began his new career as senior pastor there in October. While in Beulah, Jason worked full-time at Krause’s Super Valu in Hazen as well as working on a ministry team at the Assembly of God church in Beulah with his wife. That congregation had about 230 regular attenders. Jason and his wife had both been hoping for a chance to advance their ministry and found that opportunity in Underwood. The family has moved into the parsonage and spent their first full night there on Oct. 30. The process of preparing their house in Beulah continues. They have been traveling back to Beulah to fix up their old place so that they can rent it out. The move has been keeping everyone busy with five kids in tow, but the three boys Josiah, 11, John, 10 and Elijah, 7, are enjoying the move to the new school. The twin girls Elisha and Esther, both age 4, are attending Head Start in Turtle Lake. The couple said that at this point, they are done having more children because the doctor that delivered their five children retired.
